Troye Sivan Mellet (born June 5, 1995), professionally known as Troye Sivan is a South African-born Australian singer, songwriter, actor, and YouTube personality. Troye began posting covers on YouTube in 2007 followed by vlogs in 2012. After gaining popularity, he signed with EMI Australia releasing 2 EPs and 2 full albums to date. As an actor, Sivan portrayed the younger version of the titular character in the 2009 X-Men film X-Men Origins: Wolverine starred as the title character in the 2010-14 South-African "Spud" film trilogy and most recently as Gary in "Boy Erased" (more...)
Troye's third full-length tour supporting his second album, "Bloom". The tour has 3 legs (so far), incuding North America, Eroupe, and Asia.
Troye and Ari (Lauv) announced the collaboration after creating a spotify playlist "of songs to sleep to". The song is only avialable digitally.
"Boy Erased" is a film based on Garrard Conley's 2016 memoir of the same name. The son of a Baptist preacher is forced to participate in a church-supported gay conversion program after being forcibly outed to his parents. Troye's Character attends the conversion program.
Troye Sivan and Charli XCX teamed up to write and record "1999". The single was followed by a music video depicting trends of the year 1999; having Troye and Charli act them out.
"Bloom" is Troye Sivan's secons full-length album and was released August 31, 2018 by EMI Australia and Capitol Records. The album features the hit single "My My My" along with "The Good Side", "Bloom" and "Dance to This". The album features collaborations with Gordi and Ariana Grande.
